Delush Polish Shades of Rays Collection

Press  Sample

Hey there!  Today I have the Shades of Rays collection from Delush Polish that will be debuting tomorrow and it is gorgeous!  This collection is absolutely perfect for the warmer months.  It includes a wide variety of colors and finishes.  That's one of my favourite things about Delush Polish collections.  Don't like glitter?  Don't worry, there's cremes.  Into thermals?  There's something for you too!  She's really got everybody covered with this collection.  She is also releasing three brand new stamping plates that I will have posted soon* but, in the meantime, check out these pretty polishes!

*edit - the stamping post is up and can be found here

This is Adrianna's second foray into thermals and I really hope she keeps them up.  This bright pink-purple thermal shifts really easily.  Just putting on top coat made it purple for a second!  It's full of flakies which makes it feel a bit thick but it wasn't hard to work with.

I Don’t Think You’re Ready For This Jelly

Delush Polish I Don't Think You're Ready For This Jelly

I Don't Think You're Ready For This Jelly is a teal jelly filled with Delush's signature giant circle holo glitter.  There are also various sized hex glitter.  And, shockingly, it only needed two coats for full coverage.  It definitely needs top coat (as any polish with large glitter does). This might be my favourite from this collection.  It looks like an ocean all by itself.

Delush Polish Here Today, Gone To Maui

Here Today, Gone To Maui is the second jelly/glitter polish in the collection.  This one also has large holo circles and various hex glitter but it's for those of you who like warmer tones - it has a raspberry/fuchsia color to it.  Again, it did need a couple coats of top coat for a completely smooth feel.

Say Aloe To My Little Friend
3 coats plus top coat

So I swatched these polishes a few weeks ago and have since cleared out my photos and, I'm a dummy who happened to delete all my photos of this one so I got to put it on again last night.  Both times it took three coats of this crelly/glitter for full coverage.  I have to say this one is my only disappointment in the collection.  The glitters really stuck to the bottle so it was hard to get enough on my nail.  I tried not to fish too much but even this number of glitters took some effort.

Don’t Get It Citrus

Delush Polish Don't Get It Citrus

Don't Get It Citrus is the first of the three neon cremes accented with flakies and I love them all.  This one is a lime green neon. The flakies get a bit lost but I like their subtle look.  They all dry to a satin finish so you could skip the top coat if you like that finish.  I prefer shiny so I added top coat.

All Sun & Games

Delush Polish All Sun & Games

All Sun & Games was another one of my favourites but probably the hardest to photograph.  Picture this bright orange with flakies that you can see here and then add a healthy dose of Day-Glo to it and you could have an accurate take on it.  In this one you can see the holo flakies but not darker speckles like the other two have.

You’re Shrimply The Best

Delush Polish You're Shrimply The Best

The final polish in the collection is You're Shrimply The Best, a neon barbie pink with holo and darker purple flakies.  This had the most speckled look of the three which makes it really unique amongst the neons I own.

Delush Polish You're Shrimply The Best

Like I said at the beginning, this collection has such a variety of finishes that I think there's something for everybody.  It's hard to pick a favourite because they're so different!  The neons and I Don't Think You're Ready For This Jelly might be my faves.  I do love teals and neons so I used all of these to use the stamping plates as you'll be able to see soon.

$9.75 USD each ($10.95 for Another Fin Bites The Dust)
